A product of the Rotherham United Academy, Jerry Yates burst onto the scene at AESSEAL New York Stadium following a string of impressive performances in the youth and reserve teams which caught the eye of the first team staff.
Yates made his professional debut as a second half substitute in a game against Birmingham City at St. Andrew's in the Millers' first season back in the Championship and has been a regularly involved in the first team setup ever since.
He enjoyed a loan switch to Harrogate Town, where his eye for goal endeared him to the fans and has been a mainstay in the Millers' Final Third Development League squad.
He agreed a contract extension at the end of the 15/16 season, and impressed during pre-season, netting in the friendly with Sunderland. He looks to have a big future at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
