Having splashed out to land the signature of midfielder Christ Tiehi from Slovan Liberec earlier in the 2023/24 summer transfer window for what was then the highest fee paid out by the club, the Millers once again strengthened their pack with the addition of highly-rated 24-year-old Sam Nombe.
The Millers have been strong in their commitment to land the player which is not just represented by the financial outlay in the transfer fee, but also by the fact that the Croydon-born frontman penned a four-year deal with the club which will run until the summer of 2027.
The former MK Dons man checked in at AESSEAL New York Stadium to link back up with his former boss Matt Taylor, with the pair having worked together as recently as last October at Exeter City.
Nombe fired home 17 goals for the Grecians in Sky Bet League One last season and has understandably had a number of suitors over the summer, but it is the Millers who have prevailed in the race to secure his services, by finalising the necessary paperwork on Thursday morning.
