Sam Clucas joined the Millers to sure up the midfield ranks second tier pedigree, as he signed to become the final additional to Matt Taylor's side in the Summer of 2023.

Clucas’ footballing journey began in the youth ranks of Leicester City before a season in non-league with Nettleham. Despite being offered a scholarship to play in the United States, Clucas opted to sign for his hometown club Lincoln City following a successful campaign in non-league.

Spells in Spain with Jerez Industrial were backed up by a rapid ascent up the footballing ladder. Successive seasons at Hereford, Mansfield, Chesterfield, and Hull set Clucas up for a money-move across the Welsh border to Swansea.

After a single campaign with the Swans, Clucas hopped to fellow Sky Bet Championship side Stoke City in another big-money move.
