Rotherham United signed versatile defender Dominic Ball for an undisclosed fee from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2016.
The 21-year-old central defender agreed a three-year deal at AESSEAL New York Stadium and made his debut in the defeat against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
Ball was a familiar face to Millers boss Alan Stubbs before his arrival in South Yorkshire after playing against the Millers for Spurs during a pre-season behind closed doors friendly, whilst also coming up against Stubbs’ former club Hibernian during a loan spell with Rangers in the 2015/16 season.
Ball, who can also play in midfield, also enjoyed a loan spell with Cambridge United in 2015.
The Welwyn Garden City-born operator represented Northern Ireland from under 15 level through to under 21s, before switching his allegiance to England in 2014.
Last season he played 30 times in all competitions for Rangers, helping the Gers to the Scottish Championship title and the Scottish Challenge Cup.
