Thanks to the South Yorkshire police, the Trust is now training and ready to deliver internet safety classes in schools.

With the help of the South Yorkshire police, the RUCST team are now ready to educate young people about internet safety.

At a special session, held at the New York stadium, members of Trust were trained by officials from the South Yorkshire police on how to organise and deliver internet training sessions.
Having received the training, the Cohesion team will now look to deliver internet safety sessions directly into the schools around Rotherham.

Head of Community Jamie Noble said: “I think internet safety is an issue that not many people think is a problem, but it can be for young people. Being safe on the internet is not something that young people think about when they are browsing the web. I hope that we can actually use these sessions to show them what is out there on the internet and how you can be safe. Finally, I would like to thank the South Yorkshire police, in particular PCSS Newman and PC Paul Gray, for giving us the knowledge to deliver these sessions.”
