RULFC Dev 4-1 New Bohemians
Goal Scorers:
Fletcher x2
Mappin
Askham
The wind was rapid as the girls turned up to the Stubbin Lane Pitches to face New Bohemians.
We kicked off and tried to play the passing game, which we had been so good at previously, however we were unsuccessful. Bohemians shut down everything as we tried to play football and made it extremely difficult for us. Then came a spark of brilliance we had been needing all day. Fletcher struck from the edge of the box and the girls where ahead.
The second half began and after a talk we came out at a totally different side. After a much improved first half the girls were unfortunately faced with a knock back when Bohemians equalized. Perhaps this was the wake up call we needed? We finally started playing football!
We went forward with an attack and Mappin struck to put the Rotherham girls in front. We started again, and an attack that began with Cooke who played the ball to Mappin and then put into the feet of Fletcher who rocketed the ball in to the back of the goals 3-1. The girls were finally on top as the match came near to end, but the girls never stopped we attacked for the final time of the day. The ball fell to Askham who struck and made it 4-1.
Well done ladies.
