Sponsored by

On 20th March, Rotherham United Community Sports Trust ran a daylong conference; Crime and Consequences event as part of the Police and Crime Commissioners Project.

The event took place at New York Stadium and was delivered to 40 pupils from both Clifton and Winterhill School. On the day there were three interactive workshops taking place which were delivered by Magistrates in the Community, South Yorkshire Police and In2Change.

The workshops educated pupils around gangs, guns, knives, the legal system and the prison system. All young people also took part in a stadium tour.

Mark Cummins, Inclusion and Health Officer said “It was a really great day, working with some vibrant young people who all benefitted from the excellent workshops.

“I would like to thank all our partners for being involved in the day and we have made a commitment to run the event again next year!”
