Bumper weekend of Community Spirit..

Saturdays home fixture to Bristol City saw another random act of kindness offered to our RUFC supporters.

Random acts of kindness vary each week and occasionally give fans the opportunity to get behind the scenes to meet the players or even watch them warm up before the match from the home dug-out.

This week we welcomed 84 year old Brian along with his family to the New York Stadium for the very first time to experience The Millers in action. Brian was welcomed with open arms as Rotherham United Manager Neil Redfearn personally invited him in the Manager office as Joe Mattock showed him around the Aesseal New York Stadium and introduced him to the RUFC players, such as Jonson Clarke-Harris who scored twice in the 3-0 Victory on the day.

Jamie Noble, Head of Community said “Random acts of kindness is part of the Community Match Day Experience which offers another aspect to the fantastic work Rotherham United offer to the community. We are delighted that Brian’s first experience at The Aesseal New York Stadium saw the Millers be Victorious over Bristol City.

Everyone at Rotherham United Football Club would like to thank Brian and his family for attending the fixture and wish them all the best.

If you have any suggestions for future match day experience’s please emailcommunity@rotherhamunited.net
