Rotherham United Women are gearing up for a South Yorkshire derby showdown in their bid to retain the #HerGameToo Shield, with Sheffield Wednesday Ladies set to visit AESSEAL New York Stadium for a 6pm kick off on Sunday 12th May 2024.
Following on from the success of last year’s fixture – which saw the Millers overcome Mansfield Town Ladies on penalties to lift the coveted shield – RUWFC are set for another fixture at AESSEAL New York Stadium with the trophy and bragging rights on the line against the Owls.
The fixture will see us once again work in partnership with the #HerGameToo movement, a group of female supporters, dedicated to spreading the incredibly important message of the need for equality within football and wider support, whilst also highlighting the challenges that women face today when attending sports events.
A bumper crowd of 1,124 fans took in last year’s fixture and we’re expecting demand to be even higher this time around.
Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £2 for children and OAPS, please note that a small booking fee will apply to any tickets purchased online.
Supporters have been snapping up tickets online ahead of the eagerly anticipated fixture, but those making the late decision to join us for the 6pm kick off against the Owls can do so, with tickets available to purchase on the day of the game for no extra cost!
Supporters attending will be able to visit our Fan Zone ahead of the 6pm kick off, which will be open from 4:30pm on the day, with gates set to open at 5:30pm.
Parking will be available on a first come, first serve basis in the pay and display section of the North Car Park at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
