Viktor Johansson was once again voted the Mattress Online Man of the Match for his performance in Saturday’s narrow loss to Swansea City in the Sky Bet Championship.
The Swede was called into action after eight minutes, when he kept out a Liam Cullen strike with his legs and was again sharp to keep out an effort from Jay Fulton with 10 minutes to go until the break.
The best opportunity of the half fell the way of Jamie Paterson, who was unable to beat Johansson one-on-one when played through.
Unfortunately, Johansson was beaten, but there was nothing he could have done to prevent it, when the unlucky Andy Rinomhota turned the ball into his own goal from a corner with 16 minutes left and that goal proved decisive.
Johansson earned 79.1% of the 287 votes cast and was nominated alongside Seb Revan, Ollie Rathbone and Cameron Humphreys.
