Millers Head Coach Leam Richardson was disappointed his side had nothing to show for their efforts at the Swansea.com Stadium as Andy Rinomhota’s unfortunate own goal saw them return north empty handed.

The game looked set to be heading for a draw until Swansea popped up with the winner with 16 minutes to go and dash any Millers hopes of gaining a rare point on their travels.

“I’ve no qualms with the goal. It was an honest mistake. Andy is a loan player, who has committed himself to the club and made himself available every single game.

“We were wasteful in possession in the first half. With our tired legs with the small group we have got, it showed from Wednesday into today’s game.

“Swansea are a good team. They are well-organised and well-coached. We were waiting for those moments. It’s a big chance for Tom (Eaves) and when it was in there, you think it’s a goal, but it was not to be. We will lick our wounds a little bit and move on.

“We have got a certain group of players, where we have to play a certain way. My first question, before and after, is did you give everything for the shirt and today we did. What we lack in certain areas we make up for in work ethic, endeavour and application.

“The result is not the one we wanted. Credit to the fans for coming all the way down to Swansea. You want to put a performance on for them. You can see how much it means to them clapping the players off. When you get clapped off with a negative result that shows how much hard work and representation the players put in.”
