Rotherham United defender Tyler Blackett has been voted the Mattress Online Man of the Match following his performance in Wednesday night’s late loss to Bristol City in the Sky Bet Championship.
The defender continued his excellent personal start to the season in the game against the Robins and popped up with his first Millers goal with four minutes to go, which looked to have cancelled out Tommy Conway’s opener to earn his team a share of the spoils.
The home side and Blackett would unfortunately suffer cruel fortune, with the defender leaving the field with an injury deep into stoppage time and the visitors capitalising on their man advantage, with Conway popping up to win it.
Blackett was nominated alongside Fred Onyedinma, Christ Tiehi and Ollie Rathbone, earning 60.8% of the 528 votes cast.
