READ | Ferguson confirmed in Northern Ireland squad for Luxembourg and Hungary friendlies

Rotherham United wide man Shane Ferguson has been called up to the Northern Ireland squad for their upcoming games against Luxembourg and Hungary.

The 30-year-old, who has been a regular in Ian Baraclough’s side, has once again been selected to represent his nation ahead of the upcoming international friendlies which are set to take place on 25th and 29th March respectively.

The Millers are still awaiting news of whether any further players will be called up to represent their nations, and subsequently, whether those call-ups will affect the Sky Bet League One fixture set to be played at the Stadium of Light against Sunderland on Saturday 26th March 2022.

 

The Northern Ireland squad in full is as follows:

Goalkeepers – Bailey Peacock-Farrell (Sheffield Wednesday, on loan from Burnley), Conor Hazard (HJK Helsinki, on loan from Celtic), Luke Southwood (Reading).

Defenders – Craig Cathcart (Watford), Shane Ferguson (Rotherham United), Daniel Ballard (Millwall, on loan from Arsenal), Tom Flanagan (Shrewsbury Town), Ciaron Brown (Oxford United, on loan from Cardiff City), Conor Bradley (Liverpool), Patrick McNair (Middlesbrough), Trai Hume (Sunderland).

Midfielders – Steven Davis (Rangers), Niall McGinn (Dundee), Corry Evans (Sunderland), Stuart Dallas (Leeds United), George Saville (Millwall), Jordan Thompson (Stoke City), Alistair McCann (Preston North End), Patrick Lane (Fleetwood Town), Matthew Kennedy (Aberdeen), Liam Donnelly (Motherwell).
