Rotherham United first team players took the opportunity to get their first or second doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, following last Saturday’s clash with Fleetwood Town at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

With the help of Andrea Kitchen and her team, supporters were offered the opportunity to get their first and second jabs, along with a free ticket to the match, in our GoalZone, located at the community wing at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

And, following the completion of the fixture with the Cod Army, seven first team players took the opportunity to get vaccinated against Covid-19.

Supporters as well as players took the chance to get vaccinated at our community wing at AESSEAL New York Stadium

It is hoped that by getting involved, the Rotherham United first team can prompt others of a similar age to do the same, with the uptake of the vaccine still lower in the younger age groups compared to older members of the population.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Andrea Kitchen and her dedicated team for giving up their time on Saturday - and indeed throughout the pandemic - to help us get back to a more 'normal' way of living.
