Rotherham United have recalled Jerry Yates from his loan spell at Carlisle United and the attacker will be available to feature in today’s New Year’s Day hosting of Preston North End.
Yates, who joined the Cumbrians in the summer, made 29 appearances for the Brunton Park-club and returns to AESSEAL New York Stadium in fine form having netted five goals in his last four games.
The 22-year-old has seven goals in total during his spell in Cumbria, helping to propel John Sheridan's side to cusp of the League Two Play-off positions.
