Tom Eaves joined the Millers for the second time having enjoyed a short loan spell with he Millers in 2013, when his contract expired with Hull City.

Eaves came through the ranks at Oldham Athletic, before being snapped up by Bolton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee in 2010, where he enjoyed loan spells with Bristol Rovers, Bury and the Millers to further his footballing education, before a switch to Yeovil Town, scoring seven times in 48 appearances at Huish Park.

The Liverpool born forward was on the move again in 2017, where he enjoyed his most prolific spell to date, spending two years at Priestfield Stadium with Gillingham. He hit an impressive 40 goals in 97 appearances in Kent, with his fine form attracting the interest of Sky Bet Championship side Hull City.

Eaves signed for the Tigers at the start of the 2019/20 campaign, following the expiration of his contract with Gills. Millers fans may remember his last visit to AESSEAL New York Stadium whilst with the Tigers, where his hat-trick fired the visitors to a 3-2 win in the Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup. During his time at MKM Stadium, he helped the Tigers to the Sky Bet League One title in 2020/21 and to retain their second tier status the following year. 

The towering centre-forward was able to shake off an unfortunate injury sustained during pre-season for the 2022/23 campaign to manage 20 appearences in the second tier.
