Semi Ajayi signed for the Millers on a permanent basis in March 2017 after a successful loan spell from Cardiff City.
The former Arsenal ace signed a three-year deal after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee.
The central-defender played 17 times in The Championship for the Millers during his first season, bagging his first goal for the club in a 3-2 defeat to Huddersfield Town.
Ajayi, like most of his teammates, made a huge impact during the 2017-18 League One campaign. He made 42 appearances in all competitions as the Millers made an instant return to the second tier. Ever a threat from set-plays, Ajayi also netted five times.
The Crayford-born operator represented Nigeria at under 20 level after coming through the ranks at Charlton Athletic.
He impressed in his early years, which resulted in a move to Premier League giants Arsenal in 2013.
After two years he moved to Cardiff in search of regular first-team football, and whilst in South Wales he enjoyed loan spells with the likes of AFC Wimbledon and Crewe Alexandra.
His form during the first part of the 2018-19 campaign earned him his first full call up to the Nigeria squad.
