Millers boss Paul Warne successfully completed his summer swoop for the 23-year-old that he had admired from afar, securing his target on a three-year deal ahead of the 2021/22 Sky Bet League One campaign.

The Barnet-born operator previously enjoyed spells in England with his hometown club, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Northampton Town – having started his career as a youth player in the Tottenham Hotspur Academy.

However, it was north of the border with Livingston and more recently, Hamilton, where he really started to find his feet.

Odoffin was a virtual ever-present for the Accies as he turned out 41 times in all in the Scottish Premiership last term, helping himself to four goals in that time.

Starting out initially as a defender by-trade, Odoffin has flourished in a more advanced role of late, being deployed as a defensive midfielder more recently in the top tier of Scottish football.

Despite interest from elsewhere in the 23-year-old, it was Warne’s Millers who secured his services for a fee which will remain undisclosed.

He registered his first goal for the Millers with a strike against Scunthorpe United in the Papa Johns Trophy in October and went on to end the campaign with 23 appearances in all competitions.

Odoffin's first start of the 2022/23 campaign came during Rotherham's 1-0 victory away at Stoke City in the Sky Bet Championship. The midfielder went on to appear 26 times in all competitions, finding the net on four occasions.

One such strike included his thunderbolt against Middlesbrough, which saw the Millers overcome the promotion-chasers to secure second tier survival, with the goal also crowned the Goal of the Season.
