Rotherham United can confirm that they will welcome South Yorkshire neighbours Sheffield United to AESSEAL New York Stadium for a friendly fixture on Saturday 27th July at 3pm.
The Millers successfully hosted the Blades last summer and will welcome Chris Wilder’s side back to Rotherham as pre-season preparations step up ahead of the 10th August start date of the Sky Bet League One campaign.
The clash with Sheffield United is the first of our pre-season friendly dates to be confirmed with work currently ongoing behind-the-scenes to finalise plans with a number of other opponents.
Millers boss Steve Evans is also hard at work to firm up the logistics for the club’s pre-season training camp away from Roundwood and is keen to release those details to the public at the earliest possible opportunity to ensure any fans wishing to travel are able to do so.
