Here at Rotherham United, we are incredibly grateful to every single person that contributes to making us the community-focused club that we pride ourselves on being.

Today marks International Women’s Day and we want to use that platform to celebrate the contribution of the women associated with the club.
Here at Rotherham United we are surrounded by strong, independent and powerful women across all areas of the football club.
We have a Women’s team that is growing exponentially in stature with each season that passes and are flying the flag for participation in the local area to great effect.
Beyond that, our Her Game Too representatives are taking great strides in their mission to spread the message surrounding a need for equality within football and wider sport, highlighting the challenges that women today face when attending sporting events.
This year, in 2024, the theme for International Women's Day is 'Inspire Inclusion', which emphasises the importance of inspiring women to be included, fostering a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment.
The opportunity that a person is presented with in life shouldn’t be influenced by gender.
It is our collective responsibility to ensure that we cultivate an environment in which equality is the norm.
The significance of International Women's Day lies in its ability to bring attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women. It provides a platform for collective action and collaboration in advocating for women's rights and empowerment.
