Rotherham United are delighted to have signed a deal with strategic recruitment and outsourcing partner, Star People, who have been unveiled as the club’s Emirates FA Cup sleeve badge sponsors for the 2023/24 campaign.

The agreement with Star People, part of Uniphar, is an expansion on the club’s existing relationship with sister company E4H, whose branding has appeared on the Millers sleeves during the Emirates FA Cup in the last three seasons.

The latest deal will mean that the Star People logo will proudly adorn the players’ sleeves during the clash with Premier League outfit Fulham when Leam Richardson’s side face off with them at Craven Cottage in the Third Round on Friday 5th January 2024.

The branding will continue to appear on the club’s shirt sleeves for the duration of their involvement in the competition, should the Millers successfully navigate their way past the Cottagers in early January.

The arrangement not only provides Star People with excellent brand exposure in the country’s oldest cup competition but is also mutually beneficial for the Millers through fundraising opportunities created by the deal for the Rotherham Hospice which have been facilitated by the donation of match-worn shirts.

Last season’s auctions – run by the Rotherham Hospice – saw over £2,000 raised as a result of E4H’s kindness, as supporters landed the jerseys worn by their favourites in the 2022/23 competition. This deal will remain in place in the new arrangement with Star People when Rotherham United’s Emirates FA Cup campaign comes to a close and we will once again be proud to be collectively fundraising in the name of charity when the time arises.

Speaking upon the successful agreement of a new deal for the current campaign, Rotherham United’s Commercial Director Steve Coakley expressed his excitement at the opportunity to continue working with Karl Hamer and his team, under the new brand umbrella.

“You only need to look at the fantastic charity work which was able to take place on the back of this same deal last season to understand what kind of organisation we are working alongside in Star People,” he told www.themillers.co.uk.

“Karl and the team have been so supportive of our Emirates FA Cup campaigns in previous seasons and we’re delighted to have them on board again under the guise of Star People this season.

“To be able to once again showcase their branding against a Premier League club when we travel to Fulham will give them the exposure they deserve and hopefully, if we can produce a cup upset and put a run together, the shirts may even become synonymous with the club’s history.”

Uniphar’s Managing Director, Karl Hamer and Star People Head of Recruitment, Danny Dorward both expressed their delight at wrapping up the new deal amidst the busy festive period, citing the opportunity to ‘reveal’ the Star People brand in this way as a major factor in the decision to sign the new agreement.

Karl Hamer, Managing Director and lifelong Rotherham supporter, expressed his enthusiasm about the deal: "Being a lifelong Rotherham supporter and having previously served as the Managing Director of E4H, a former team sponsor, it brings me immense pleasure to announce that our new brand, Star People, will now proudly sponsor the Rotherham team shirts.”

Danny Dorward, Head of Recruitment at Star People shared: “I am delighted to unveil Star People, our strategic recruitment and outsourcing brand. Our partnership with Rotherham is a celebration of the shared values of teamwork and delivering the best performance possible, and I'm proud to see our new brand come to life.”
