Rotherham United attacker Ciaran McGuckin has completed a loan switch to join League of Ireland Premier Division outfit Dundalk until the end of the 2023/24 campaign, subject to EFL and FA ratification and international clearance.
The Academy graduate has been a regular among the Millers’ substitutes this season but has only featured five times in-all competitions this season, with it being concluded between club and player that this loan move represented a good opportunity to play more regular minutes during an important time in his development.
The 20-year-old has very much been a part of the first team group this season and has also enjoyed success with the Northern Ireland U21s, for whom he had two strikes nominated for the national setup’s Goal of the Year award.
