Rotherham United Under 18s slipped to a defeat in their opening EFL Youth Alliance Cup fixture at the hands of Shrewsbury Town, with the home side triumphing 2-0 last Saturday.
The Millers have been drawn alongside Salop, Bolton Wanderers, Walsall and Notts County in the first stage of the competition, which is a round-robin group format, with only the winner guaranteed a place in the next round.
The Academy are back in action on 23rd September, when they host Huddersfield Town in the Youth Alliance League.
