Rotherham United’s Central League Cup game against Huddersfield Town, originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday 10th September has been moved back a month and will now take place on Tuesday 10th October 2023.
The Millers have four fixtures in the group stage of this season’s Central League Cup competition which will pit them against the Terriers and Salford City away from home, before welcoming Stockport County and Bolton Wanderers to Roundwood in November and then February respectively.
The competition allows first team boss Matt Taylor the opportunity to involve players needing match minutes or continuing their recoveries from injury some game time, whilst also providing the club’s Academy youngsters the chance to impress in what is considered a senior level competition.
The Millers fixtures in the Central League Cup will now take place as follows:
October
Tue 10 A Huddersfield Town 1pm
Tue 17 A Salford City 1pm
November
Tue 21 H Stockport County 1pm
February
Tue 27 H Bolton Wanderers 1pm
