Rotherham United can confirm that the Poppy shirts worn and issues to Millers’ first team players for the 1-1 draw with Queens Park Rangers in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday 4th November are now up for auction via www.MatchwornShirt.com, with proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.
As part of our tributes to the servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in order for us to enjoy the freedoms that we do today, the Millers once again featured a poppy on the front of their red and white Puma Teamwear home strip for the fixture against the Hoops, with the game marking our closest Saturday fixture at AESSEAL New York Stadium to Remembrance Sunday.
Once again, we’ve enlisted the help of our friends from MatchWornShirt to facilitate the sale of these one-off shirts, with the auctions now live until 1pm on Saturday 18th November.
As ever, the shirts worn by the players who were in action against the R’s are as authentic as they can be, to the point that they haven’t even been washed, with every shirt hand-signed by the respective player.
