The October nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month Award are…
Rotherham United forward Jordan Hugill has been included among the nominees for the October Goal of the Month award for the Sky Bet Championship for his delightful lob against Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium.
The experienced forward’s name will go into a supporter vote which will run until 5pm on Monday 13th November, with Millers fans encouraged to take a minute to select Hugill’s goal online.
The full list of nominees for the award are as follows:
Jamie Vardy – Blackburn Rovers v LEICESTER CITY – 1st October
Drawing geometric shapes on the Ewood Park pitch, Leicester fashioned a four-player move involving Stephy Mavididi, Abdul Fatawu and Wilfred Ndidi before Vardy ended it spectacularly.
Conor Chaplin – IPSWICH TOWN v Hull City – 3rd October
A move begun by Ipswich keeper Vaclav Hladky selling a dummy and swept along the left flank by four players ended with Chaplin side-stepping a defender and finding the top corner.
Niall Huggins – SUNDERLAND v Watford – 4th October
What a way to score the first senior goal of your career. Huggins cut in at pace from the right touchline and just kept going, jinking this way and that before driving home an irresistible shot.
Jordan Hugill – Southampton v ROTHERHAM UNITED – 7th October
Hugill had just headed on a long clearance when he found the ball dropping back to him. With neither hesitation nor back-lift, he volleyed it instantly in one sweep of his foot into the net.
Fans are invited to vote for their favourite goal on EFL.com before 5pm on Monday 13 November.
The supporters' votes will be combined with the choices from a panel to determine the winners.
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL experts Don Goodman & David Prutton
