Rotherham United will jet out to Murcia for a week-long warm weather training camp as part of their preparations ahead of the 2023/24 Sky Bet Championship campaign.
Matt Taylor’s men will leave UK shores on Saturday 8th July – having played their opening pre-season friendly at Parkgate FC the night before – for seven days of intense training in the Spanish sunshine with the trip being organised by renowned sports travel operators GB Sports Group.
The Millers will base themselves at the highly-rated the Pinatar Arena during their stay which has previously hosted the likes of England, Wales, USA, Newcastle United and Atletico Madrid.

Not only does the arena boast a state-of-the-art playing surface that has been commended by the clubs which have trained there, it also has the capacity to seat 3,000 spectators and houses dining facilities on-site to allow the players to efficiently refuel between sessions.
Whilst in Murcia, the Millers will play two friendly fixtures as the intensity of their pre-season preparations steps up overseas, with confirmation of their opponents and whether supporters will be able to attend set to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
The club are currently working closely with GB Sports Group to establish details which would determine the feasibility of any of our supporters interested in making the trip attending the aforementioned fixtures and we will aim to provide further clarity on this as soon as possible.
The Millers will fly out to Alicante on Saturday 8th July and will return to the UK on Saturday 15th July 2023.
