Rotherham United are delighted to confirm that homegrown duo Ciaran McGuckin and Curtis Durose have penned new one year contracts with the club, subject to ratification from the FA and EFL.
Durose and McGuckin have both excelled during loan spells with Gainsborough Trinity and Scarborough Athletic respectively and have been rewarded for their form with new contracts at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
Durose has scored 14 times for the Trinity this term.
Curtis, who joined the Millers from the Nottingham Forest Academy, has been making waves whilst out on loan at Gainsborough Trinity. The box-to-box midfielder with a keen eye for goal netted 14 times for the Trinity this season, helping them reach the end of season Play-offs.
Durose's progress has been closely followed by the first team staff at Roundwood, who have acted quickly to tie him down to a new deal.

Durose has certainly been making noise at non-league level, and Ciaran McGuckin is no different. The Northern Ireland youth international has represented his country from Under 17 to Under 21 level, and has proven to be a valuable asset for Scarborough Athletic.
McGuckin’s has ingratiated himself amongst the Seadogs’ faithful, scoring six times in the red of Scarborough in his 19 starts at the Flamingo Land Stadium.
McGuckin has been a key performer during a loan spell with Scarborough Athletic.
Millers fans will have already had a glimpse of McGuckin's prowess in front of goal, with the striker netting during the recent 2022/23 pre-season campaign and like Durose, has been tied down to a further year at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
