Rotherham United were delighted to present Chairman Tony Stewart with a Lifetime Achievement award at the 2022/23 Season Dinner to celebrate his incredible contribution since taking the reins in 2008.
Since arriving at Millmoor, Tony has successfully overseen the transition from the Millers’ old home to the AESSEAL New York Stadium – celebrating its 10th anniversary – with the club promoted on five occasions during his stewardship.
The 2022/23 campaign saw another incredible achievement under the Chairman, as the Millers secured Sky Bet Championship survival for the first time since 2016, capping off the accomplishment with a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough on home soil.
His time as Chairman has seen some of the greatest moments in Rotherham United history, with the aforementioned five promotions, and five years in the Sky Bet Championship, which will of course become six, with the Millers also adding silverware to the cabinet, in the shape of last season’s Papa Johns Trophy triumph.
The club are honoured to present the Chairman with the Lifetime Achievement Award – sponsored by Carlsberg – and look forward to many more memorable years with Tony at the helm.
