Rotherham United U18s slipped to a 2-0 defeat in their Youth Alliance League fixture against South Yorkshire neighbours Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
The home side started brightly and were given the chance to take the lead from the penalty spot when Sam Brown raced onto Jack Raper’s through ball before being fouled by Hamilton. Raper stepped up and converted to give Rovers the lead.
The Millers fell further behind when Faris Khan flicked the ball into the path of Harry Wood, who cut inside before picking out the bottom right corner to double the lead.
The U18s are next in action on Saturday 25th March, when they take on Mansfield Town in the Northern Area Final of the Youth Alliance Cup.
