The Millers Memory Club will meet this Friday 31st March 2023 at AESSEAL New York Stadium with the group encouraging faces new and old to come along and attend.
The group which provides a friendly atmosphere for those suffering with – or have encountered – neurodegenerative illnesses meets once a month in the Community Trust’s facility on the ground floor at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
It has grown immensely since being conceived over a year ago with former players, staff and supporters travelling from across the region and beyond to reminisce with old friends, read through historic matchday programmes and watch old game footage on the televisions.
Former Millers and England captain Dave Watson travels to the groups from Nottingham and is just one of a number of ex-players who regularly attend.
Refreshments are provided by our amazing team of volunteers and the running of the group is overseen by the evergreen John Breckin.
The group is set to meet this Friday at 1pm and the club would like to remind supporters who have encountered diseases like dementia in any way, that they are welcome to come along.
