We know it’s the international break this weekend, meaning that the Millers first team aren’t in action, but there’s still a fantastic opportunity to make Saturday a real ‘football day’ with both the Rotherham United U18s and England’s U19s in action within a stone’s throw of the town.
Matt Taylor’s men are without a Sky Bet Championship fixture this weekend, but Saturday AM will see attentions turn to the next generation and Richard Hairyes’ Millers U18s, who are in Youth Alliance Cup Northern Area Final against Mansfield at 10:30am.
The Academy take on the Stags at Sheffield Hallam University Sports Complex - S9 1UA – at 10:30am and entry for Millers fans looking to support the lads is free.
If the Millers are able to record victory over Mansfield Town, they will set up a date with MK Dons in the national final in April, so get down and back the boys if you can!
If you’re still looking for your footy fix after seeing the Academy in action, or can’t make the early game, why not get yourself down to AESSEAL New York Stadium at 2pm to watch the Young Lions take on Iceland at U19s level.
Ian Foster’s side return to Rotherham as part of their UEFA European U19s Championship qualifiers and arrive on the back of a midweek victory over Hungary.
