Rotherham United defender Bailey Wright has become the latest Millers player to be called-up to international duty, after being named in the Australia squad for their upcoming ‘Welcome Home’ series against Ecuador.

The on loan Sunderland defender has been included in boss Graham Arnold’s squad, who will play two games against the South American outfit, with the first taking place at CommBank Stadium in Sydney on Friday 24th March, with the other to be held at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on Tuesday 28th March.

Wright has won 27 caps for the Socceroos and represented his country in the recent FIFA World Cup in Qatar, helping them beat Denmark at Al Wakrah Stadium.

The two fixtures against Ecuador will be the national team’s first on home soil, since their historic campaign in Qatar, where they reached the knockout stages for only the second time in their history.

Everyone at Rotherham United would like to congratulate Bailey on his call-up to and wish him the best of luck in the upcoming games.
