Rotherham United are delighted to confirm that Lee Peltier has penned a new deal which will keep the defender at the club until the end of the 2023/24 Sky Bet Championship season, subject to EFL and FA ratification.

Peltier is one of a number of players that first-team boss Matt Taylor has been keen to tie down for another season, with this most recent deal representing both parties’ commitment both on and off the pitch to help ensure back-to-back survivals in the Sky Bet Championship.

Not only a consistent and reliable performer on the pitch, the 36-year-old defender has been a key figure off it, quickly established himself as a senior head in the dressing room, in and around the Millers’ Roundwood Training Complex.

The Liverpool-born defender boasts a wealth of Sky Bet Championship experience with the likes of Cardiff City, Leicester and Leeds United and added 35 more second tier appearances to his CV last term, in which he played a pivotal role in helping the Millers retain their second tier status.

You can hear from both Lee and the boss on iFollow Millers now.
