Rotherham United’s first team will report back to Roundwood for their first day of pre-season training on Monday 26th June 2023.
Matt Taylor’s men have been enjoying some well-earned time to rest and recuperate over the summer months after securing their place in the Sky Bet Championship for another season, but will report back to the club’s training base next week as attentions turn to the 2023/24 campaign.
The Millers boss and a number of his staff have maintained a regular presence at Roundwood throughout the summer months, overseeing a number of improvements to the facilities in the building and speaking to prospective transfer targets and candidates for a number of roles to key club positions.
Alongside the improvements made to the building itself over the summer, the pitches have undergone their usual post-season renovations with a proposed change in layout on the agenda for the players to look forward to upon their return.
To aid the transition process between the club’s youth setup and first team, a number of the club’s young professionals will report back later this week and work alongside the performance and medical staff under the watchful eye of the manager, who will take the opportunity to further familiarise himself with the players that will be joining the senior group this term.
From Monday, the schedule will quickly accelerate with the first pre-season friendly rapidly appearing on the horizon in the form of the clash with training ground hosts Parkgate FC on Friday 7th July.
