Rotherham United are delighted to confirm the arrival of defender Grant Hall, who joins the Millers on a permanent basis following the expiration of his contract with Middlesbrough, subject to ratification from the FA and EFL.

The Brighton-born operator has penned a one year deal ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 Sky Bet Championship campaign, which will keep him at AESSEAL New York Stadium until the summer of 2024.

Hall will be spending a second successive campaign in South Yorkshire, having impressed whilst on loan from the Teessiders last term, making 21 appearances in all competitions as Matt Taylor’s men secured second tier survival.

The 31-year-old adds another experienced head to the dressing room, joining fellow Sky Bet Championship veterans Sean Morrison and Lee Peltier in committing his future to the club, following a successful 2022/23 campaign in Millers colours.

Hall started his professional career with his hometown club Brighton and Hove Albion, before sealing a move to Tottenham Hotspur and would go on to represent the likes of Birmingham City, Queens Park Rangers, Blackpool and Middlesbrough in the second tier before settling at The Riverside.

Everyone at Rotherham United would like to welcome Grant back to the club and wish him all the best for the upcoming season.
