Rotherham United U18s played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with Grimsby Town on Friday afternoon.
The Millers headed to Cleethorpes for their latest fixture in their Youth Alliance campaign and scored just before half time, with Josh Ayres netting in the 41st minute.
In an entertaining affair, Zack Bond also got himself on the scoresheet, but it wasn’t enough to earn all three points.
The Millers also had Ayres sent off in injury time, after he picked up his second yellow card.
The Academy are next in action on Friday 27th January, when they travel to take on Bradford City in the Northern Quarter Final of the Youth Alliance Cup.
