With temperatures back above freezing, it was another busy weekend of action for Rotherham United and Brinsworth Whitehill Women and Girls.

Here is a round-up of all the action…

Rotherham United Women fell to a 3-0 defeat to Notts County in their first home outing of 2023, despite a number of chances to get back into the game.

Meanwhile, Abi Hill earned herself the Player of the Match award for Brinsworth Whitehill Women, but couldn’t prevent her side slipping to a 4-0 defeat to Chesterfield.

The Under 18s Reds had better fortunes, with Charley and Brooke scoring a brace each and Amber wrapping things up to see them to a convincing 5-1 win over Kiveton park.

The Under 18s Whites had a bright opening 35 minutes against Staveley before eventually slipping to a 7-0 defeat, with Andreja and Leah the standout performers.

Holly and Kyrah were on target for the Under 15s as they progressed thanks to a cracking 2-1 success over AFC Pogmoor.

The Under 14s exited the cup at the hands of Barnsley Whites, going down 3-1 despite a goal from Navaeh.

It was also cup heartache for the Under 12s who were excellent in their 2-2 draw with Junior Tykes, with Liaghnishah and Kadae the goalscorers. The game went to the lottery of penalties, with the Tykes progressing 5-4.
