With the cold temperatures gripping the country, only three Rotherham United and Brinsworth Whitehill Girls fixtures survived the big freeze across the weekend.

Here is a round-up of how they got on…

Rotherham United Women FC were edged out in their first league outing of 2023 after losing 1-0 against Mansfield Town Ladies at RH Academy.

The Millers had made a flying start to the year after beating Airmyn FC 6-1 the previous week.

Brinsworth Whitehill Girls saw their County Cup run come to an end, after being edged out 2-1 in a tightly contested affair against Wakefield Reserves, despite getting themselves on the scoresheet through an own goal.

Lucie Tinker continued her impressive run of individual form, picking up the Player of the Match Award.

The U18s were beaten 8-0 by a good Staveley side, with goalkeeper Leah earning herself the Player of the Match.
