Rotherham United can confirm that defender Jamie McCart has joined Leyton Orient on loan until the end of the 2022/23 campaign, subject to EFL and FA ratification.
The Scot has completed a temporary switch to join the table-topping Sky Bet League Two outfit until the end of the current season in an attempt to get more regular game time under his belt.
Having had discussions with Matt Taylor and his coaching staff, the player – whilst keen to stay to try and break into the first team fold at AESSEAL New York Stadium – recognised that this move represented a good opportunity to get match minutes under his belt and allow him to potentially be involved in a promotion season with his loan club.
The 25-year-old has made 10 appearances across all competitions for the Millers since joining from north of the border after the expiration of his contract with St. Johnstone and joins the current fourth tier table toppers as they look to get over the line for promotion this season.
