Ahead of Christmas, Rotherham United are encouraging supporters to assist us in our efforts to help those less fortunate than us, with a series of donations at their upcoming Sky Bet Championship fixtures with Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
The Millers and Rotherham United Community Trust are once again backing Hallam FM’s Mission Christmas campaign by providing a pop-up drop off point with donations welcome ahead of our fixture with the Swans.
Alongside the Trust, we will be working hard to ensure that we can collect as many selection boxes as possible as part of our Mission Christmas efforts, in collaboration with our friends from the Firehouse Group. The aim of Mission Christmas is to help make a difference to local children living in poverty, all selection boxes dropped off should be new and unwrapped.
In addition to these efforts, our Trust will be supporting three worthy local causes Shiloh, Social Supermarket and Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity, through the highly-successful swap shop scheme, with donations to the shop to be taken in the upcoming home fixtures with the Swans and Baggies on the 9th and 12th December, with the final swap shop to open on Monday 18th December.
We are accepting donations for the following items from the Youth Hub and in the FanZone, but please be aware that in order for our charity partners to accept them, they must be in good condition:
- Football boots and kit
- Warm winter clothing, particularly coats and hats
- Trainers and shoes
- Toiletries
- Non-perishable food
