Rotherham United are delighted to confirm the appointment of Rob Kelly as the club’s new assistant head coach.
Kelly re-joins head coach Leam Richardson in signing a contract which will run until the summer of 2026 in South Yorkshire having previously worked alongside the new Millers boss - most recently during their time together at Wigan Athletic.
The 58-year-old boasts a decorated coaching CV which includes stints with the likes of Leicester City, Preston North End and Nottingham Forest and follows time as professional player with the Foxes, Tranmere Rovers, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burton Albion.
Kelly’s arrival bolsters the club’s coaching staff ahead of Saturday’s trip to Plymouth Argyle, where he will be joined in the technical area by current coaching staff Wayne Carlisle, Dan Green and Scott Brown.
More will follow including reaction from head coach Leam Richardson to Rob’s appointment over the coming days on www.themillers.co.uk.
