Rotherham United supporters will be looking out for Ball 15 in the Northern Section of tonight’s Carabao Cup second round draw which is set to take place following the conclusion of the televised tie between Burton Albion and Leicester City on Sky Sports.
Matt Taylor’s men booked their place in Round Two with a penalty shootout victory over Morecambe on Tuesday night and will join Premier League outfits including Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the regionalised draw this evening.
The 24-team ‘Northern pot’ will be mirrored by an equally populated Southern section which contains clubs including Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford, who the Millers could face should they progress to the nationalised rounds of the competition.
The draw will take place live on Sky Sports with confirmation of the Millers’ opponents set to appear across the club’s social media platforms and website.
The Carabao Cup remains regionalised in the early rounds with the draw split into a southern and northern section until Round Three.
Round Two ties will take place week commencing 28 August.
