The next generation of Rotherham United stars are going for glory in the Youth Alliance Cup final on Thursday and they need your support.

Our U18s travel to Stadium MK to take on Milton Keynes Dons in the showpiece final on Thursday 20th July for a 7pm kick off.

The Millers ensured safe passage to the knockout stages after wins over Morecambe and Carlisle United, as well as a draw with Harrogate Town which saw them safely qualify from their group to set up a quarter final showdown with Bradford City.

And the game with the Bantams certainly proved to be a thriller, with a brace from Adam Clarke and a poacher’s goal from Ed Mare securing a 3-2 win in West Yorkshire for the youngsters.

Their journey continued with the hosting of Mansfield Town at Graham Solley Sports Development Centre and supporters would be treated to another pulsating affair.

The Millers looked all set for the final after racing into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals either side of half time from Ben Hatton and Leiwi Abraham but the drama wasn’t over, with the away side pulling one back with nine minutes to go before the Millers were reduced to 10 men just a minute later, with the home side also being handed a penalty.

Nat Ford was the hero though, as he pulled off a stunning save to deny the Stags the equaliser and the Millers held on to book their place in the final.
