Rotherham United’s flying attacker Chiedozie Ogbene has been selected for the Republic of Ireland squad as they prepare for a double-header of Nations League games against Scotland and Armenia.
The electric frontman has been in fine form for both club and country of late and will re-join his Irish teammates over the international break for the League B Group 1 matches at Hampden Park and the Aviva Stadium across the international weekend.
Ukraine currently top the group while Ireland sit in third place behind Scotland and ahead of Armenia with them having played four games.
Ogbene will join up with The Boys in Green for game on the following dates:
Saturday 24th September 2022
Scotland v Republic of Ireland
Hampden Park, Glasgow
Tuesday 27th September 2022
Republic of Ireland v Armenia
Aviva Stadium, Dublin
We would like to wish Chieo all the best for when he departs to represent his country over the international break.
