Dan Barlaser has been rewarded for his outstanding display in the middle of the park last night with the Mattress Online Man of the Match award for Wednesday night’s 3-0 win over Blackpool in the Sky Bet Championship.
Also known for his prowess on the driving range, it was on the football pitch where he was the best by par last night, driving his team forward with his exquisite range of passing which helped the Millers win the battle of the midfield.
Far from having a rough time, the Millers continued their excellent start to life in the Championship and took the lead against the Seasiders when Dan teed up Richard Wood at the back post, who nodded into the path of Ogbene for 1-0.
In the second half and with time ticking, Barlaser was again instrumental as he produced another fore into the opposition half as he lofted over a free kick, which was sent back across the box for Harding to score, by Bola, before Georgie Kelly made it 3-0.
Barlaser won plaudits from supporters for his display, earning 50.9% of the 763 votes cast on the night.
