Rotherham United can confirm that young forward Ciaran McGuckin has joined Vanarama National League North outfit Scarborough Athletic on an initial month’s loan, subject to ratification from the EFL, FA and National League.
McGuckin – who signed professional terms in the summer – will now undergo the next stage of his footballing education with the Seadogs, as first team staff continue to monitor his progress closely up at Roundwood.
The Boro are managed by Jonathan Greening and were promoted via the Play-offs last term. This season, the Flamingo Land Stadium-based side sit 7th, with McGuckin inline to make his debut on Saturday when they host Kettering Town.
