Missing your Millers fix during the World Cup break? Why not come down to cheer on Rotherham United Women FC as they take on South Yorkshire neighbours Doncaster Rovers Belles in the Women’s Challenge Cup this Sunday?
The Millers welcome the Belles to Roundwood Sports Complex for a 1pm kick off on Sunday 20th November, with the game £3 for adults, £2 for students and free of charge for U16s.
With the Rotherham United men’s team taking a break from Sky Bet Championship action as a result of a pause in the fixture schedule due to the 2022 FIFA World Cup break taking place in Qatar, Sunday’s cup tie offers supporters the chance to cheer on the Millers Women in the South Yorkshire derby against the six-time FA Women’s Cup champions and twice FA Women’s Premier League winners.
Head of Community Jamie Noble – also the Chairman of RUWFC – is looking forward to welcoming supporters to what promises to be an exciting cup tie.
“The highly successful UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 really caught the imagination of the public and we’ve seen a huge uptick in interest in the women’s game as a result.
“Having seen the tournament host games at AESSSEAL New York Stadium, we’ve been keen to build on the feel-good factor that came with that and it has been fantastic to see supporters both new and old coming down to Roundwood to cheer on the team.
“Doncaster Rovers Belles have a fantastic history within the game and we’re really looking forward to welcoming them for an all-South Yorkshire affair on Sunday.

We would like to remind any supporters wishing to attend this fixture that Roundwood is a cash only venue and card payments WILL NOT be accepted at the ground. We would advise any supporters attending to plan in advance as there are no cash points within close proximity to the venue.
Parking is limited within he ground and spaces cannot be reserves. They are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Alternatively, parking is available in the surrounding area, but please be courteous to local residents.
