Millers boss Matt Taylor credited his side for their effort levels in what was a good performance at Turf Moor, and admitted that he was disappointed to see those levels go unrewarded as they slipped to a late 3-2 defeat at Burnley on Wednesday night...
“A lot of the performances I can't pick fault with. You mentioned those goals against a good opposition. They're going to hurt you at certain times. Players do switch off in certain moments and there's learning moments and learning curves throughout that 90 minutes as there is in every game of football.
“Cohen has to understand that he can't give the ref an opportunity, even a decision to make on the second press, especially when it's happening in such a quick succession. But he's a young kid learning the game as well and like I said, those moments didn't go our way tonight.
“We encouraged them to use the ball as well so they're on regain moments and they did that. We didn't do it often enough or with enough control, but we're up against a quality, quality opposition. I'm really pleased with those aspects of the game.
“We got two good goals, and it was great to get Chieo back on the pitch, it was Ben's first goal of the season as well, so that'll give him the boost and the confidence he needs to step on in relation to his game now.
“There are so many positive moments tonight, but like I said, the brutality of the level is that we come away from there with nothing.”
