Rotherham United are delighted to have confirmed Season Ticket prices for the our 2022/23 Sky Bet Championship campaign.
Following confirmation of the Millers’ automatic promotion from Sky Bet League One in April discussions have taken place and have now concluded to allow us to publicise the new prices for supporters wishing to purchase Season Tickets with us for the upcoming season as we once again embark upon another exciting journey in the second tier.
Having been able to offer Season Tickets at a frozen price rate for the last seven seasons, the club has this year taken the difficult decision to make a small increase in prices as we look to compete in a tough division next season. This increase equates to just over £1 per game for adults and less than 50p for juniors, which we still feel represents great value to our supporters.
The purpose of this story is to inform our fans of the 2022/23 Sky Bet Championship prices at the earliest possible opportunity.
Our dedicated team of ticketing staff are now working hard to process auto-renewals for those supporters who paid for their Season Ticket via Direct Debit in 2021/22. Should any supporters who did pay for their Season Ticket in the last campaign using our DD scheme NOT wish to renew with us, please contact supporterservices@rotherhamunited.net expressing your desire not to auto-renew.
For those supporters who have purchased Season Tickets with us in previous years, we plan to revert back to the 10-monthly payments on the Direct Debit scheme – the first of which will be taken on 1st June 2022.
An official date for when Season Tickets will go on sale to all supporters will be confirmed later this week.
We politely request that fans do not contact the Red and White Shop to make enquiries in the meantime, as the team are unable to access any seating plans until the point at which the tickets go on sale.
A further article with more detail including all the benefits and sales dates will also be published in due course.
Any supporters who are wishing to renew in the same seat as the 2021/22 season in the same age band will have their previous cards uploaded with their new Season Ticket. With this in mind, all supporters are asked to retain their 2021/22 Season Ticket Cards for use in the 2022/23 campaign.
Should any supporters not have access to their 2021/22 Season Ticket Card, the club will look to organise replacements, but this process will not take place until around mid-July.

Open Letter from Chairman Tony Stewart
Start spreading the news, the Millers are back in the Sky Bet Championship!
My passion and commitment to this football club remains the same as it was the day I took over 14 years ago and each and every opening to a new season brings with it renewed excitement and optimism for what lies ahead. Last season was memorable for so many reasons, but arguably the most significant was the return of supporters to stadia around the country following their absence during the pandemic.
That opening league fixture against Plymouth was one that really stirred the emotions, seeing the Red and White Army back roaring the lads on. That is what football is really about. Better still then, that the 2021/22 campaign was a record-breaking one across a number of fronts, which included a day out at Wembley where we landed the Papa Johns Trophy, before sealing promotion and the runners-up spot in Sky Bet League One just under a month later.
Now it is time to embark upon another journey in the Sky Bet Championship, in which, everyone at the club feels like we have ‘unfinished business’ to attend to. Our efforts in the same division two years ago were colossal, and in the end, it was heart-breaking to see us slip out of the league on the final day at Cardiff, having successfully navigated so many challenges along the way. We are not going into the Championship to make up the numbers. We are relishing the opportunity to lock horns with the big clubs and we are blessed with a group of staff and players who also thrive on those occasions. I know that you, as fans, will want to be a part of that and will provide us with a ‘12th man’ in those particularly electric atmospheres. We have always said that the ‘United’ element of this club’s name is of paramount importance to us and you have proven why we believe that, time and time again. We will once again be in it together as we look to show the wider footballing world why we are so proud of our corner of South Yorkshire.
This is the first time in eight years that we are raising prices of Season Tickets for our supporters, having been able to offer them at a frozen rate throughout that period. This isn’t a decision that we have made lightly, and I can assure you that we will always strive to make football here affordable to as many people in our community as possible. The influx in price equates to just over £1 per game over the course of the season, which we firmly believe still represents great value to our supporters.
We will continue to offer all of the same benefits that Season Ticket holders have enjoyed in previous years, which include priority for high-demand fixtures, a discount in the Red and White Shop and the chance to bring a friend for a fiver to designated home fixtures in the 2022/23 campaign.
Throughout my time as Chairman, the volume of support and passion coming from the stands has never failed to amaze me and I’m looking forward to seeing supporters both new and old descending on AESSEAL New York Stadium again next term. You played a key role in helping the team towards one of the finest seasons in the club’s history and as ever, I would like to thank you all for your fantastic, unwavering support. Our journey has always been an exciting one and I’m looking forward to experiencing the next chapter with you all.
Up the Millers.
Tony Stewart
Chairman
